AB School of Dance provides a fun and positive environment that allows your child to develop confidence and skill. Classes run at Winifred Holtby School, Bilton Village Hall and Jubilee Central Hull. We offer dance classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Street, Musical Theatre and Contemporary for ages 3+ so there is something for everyone. Working towards exciting shows and BBO Dance Examinations we run weekly classes at different venues. We usually hold dance shows at The Middleton Hall as well as offering different performance opportunities and trips and activities for our students.

NEW for 2024: Stardust Adult & Baby. Classes are for 6 months+ and they include dancing, singing, sensory games and stories, with different themes each month –

Across the Hull & East Riding we have a range of sessions for all ages and abilities. Netball is sport for everyone!

  • Back to Netball is a fun session for ages 16+, aimed for beginners or those needing a reintroduction to the sport. The hour-long session includes a warm up, skills and drills and match play.
  • Netball Now is a session aimed for players 16+ wanting to turn up and play.
  • Walking Netball is a slowed down version of the game. The sessions are a great way to socialise and participate in light moderate activity.

Adult dance and dancercise classes which is a form of exercise that blends aerobic/keep fit dance moves:

Driffield RUFC Ladies

Ladies only Rugby training on a Wednesday night. If you fancy learning to play Rugby, or you are just looking to get fit, training is at the Rugby Club at Kelleythorpe (near Driffield) on a Wednesday night.

  • Girls 11 – 17 years, 5:30-6:30pm
  • Ladies 17+ years- 7-8:30pm

Anyone can attend and join in. Just turn up in boots or trainers and clothes you don’t mind getting mucky.

Ennerdale Cycle Track

The regions only all weather 1km cycle circuit next to the Ennerdale Leisure Centre, offering a number of loops and straights for all cycling abilities, to help gain confidence and develop cycling skills. Sometimes it’s booked out to a club or school so please call ahead to check it is available for public use.

Open daily at selected times, and sessions must be booked online. Prices are Adult £5 per hour, child & OAP £2.50 per hour, under 5s Free. All age children welcome, must have a helmet on and under 8s need an adult with them aged 16 or over.

Go Tri at Ennerdale

A fun event run by Humber Triathletes to give everyone an opportunity to try out a short duathlon. 2km run, 5km bike ride, 1km run all fully marshalled and timed at the Ennerdale cycle track. The event is held every month throughout the year.

Junior Parkrun

The Junior Parkrun is held every Sunday at 9am, and is 2km in length. It is for children aged 4-14 years (and their grown ups if needed). Participants need to register with parkrun first here and print off their barcode (free and takes only a couple of minutes). Then simply turn up at the event with the barcode. There are currently 3 Junior Park runs across the city:

Karma Yoga

Yoga classes in Willerby and Anlaby every week. Relax. Reset. Refresh.

  • Willerby, Gentle Yoga Class. This focusses on mobilisation of joints and muscles, gentle flow and calming breathwork. Mondays, 11-12pm and Thursday 10.30-12 at Willerby Guide Hut, Main Street. Willerby.
  • Anlaby, Hatha Yoga Class. This class will focus on yoga poses that build strength in the body and breathwork during savasana. Tuesdays 6.15 – 7.15pm at Calvella Dance Studio, Pryme Street, Anlaby.
  • Anlaby Yin Yoga Class. Yin yoga complements the yang side of yoga, such as Hatha. This class will concentrate on releasing the muscles and fascia through holding poses for longer but with support and props to help and bring comfort. Tuesdays, 7.30 – 8.30pm at Calvella Dance Studio, Pryme Street, Anlaby.
