Aqua-natal classes by Puddle Ducks are perfect for mums-to-be as they offer a holistic approach to mental and physical well-being. Combining relaxation with cardio-vascular exercise, these classes provide the perfect physical preparation for labour in the soothing and cool comforts of water. Our teachers pass antenatal swimming training that is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives Trust, our own extensive aquanatal training and STA Aquacise/Aquanatal and Antenatal Swimming.

Hypnobirthing techniques will enable you to have a calm, relaxed & safe birth. Most Hypnobirthing mums experience shorter labours and without the need for any pain relief. You will gain the knowledge to be in complete control at all times, making your birth experience a positive one.

The Hull and East Yorkshire Home Birth Support Group was set up in October 2011 by local women who have all given birth to their children at home, and want to be able to support other parents to have a positive home birth experience.
The group currently meets on the third Monday evening/day time of each month and is also attended by local midwives, doulas, hypnobirthing practitioners, breastfeeding peer supporters and antenatal teachers, many of whom have had home births themselves, and can offer additional information and support. Everyone is welcome – partners, along with other birth partners, other children and friends. The meetings are a great opportunity to meet other people who have had or are having a home birth, ask any questions, seek reassurance and support.

An uplifting workout for Mums to Be, suitable for all trimesters of pregnancy following your 12 week scan with adaptations made at each stage to ensure that every workout is safe, effective to maintain your fitness throughout your pregnancy. MummyFIT Pre Natal focuses on preparing your body for its biggest workout yet and also gives you a taster of MummyFIT workouts for when you return after you have had your baby. The Positive Birth Movement Hull is part of a grassroots movement aimed at spreading positivity about birth via a global network of hundreds of free Positive Birth Groups linked by social media. We think a positive birth is one in which a woman has freedom of choice, access to accurate information, feels in control, powerful and respected. We are a woman-centred movement and we respect all women’s human rights to choose where and how they have their baby. Our groups are discussion groups where we value all choices, and where all views are of equal value and equally heard. Pregnancy yoga is highly recommended by midwives and doctors. At YogaBellies we have a short discussion, each week we cover a different topic such as bonding with baby or preparing for the big day. We also cover things like breathing techniques for labour and positions for labour too. Then the yoga postures which are all suitable for pregnancy and will be adapted as per your trimester, and focus on building strength and stamina and keeping you flexible and fit. We finish with a relaxation and lots of mummies to be say they get the best night’s sleep after their YogaBellies class!
Lots of friendships develop in the classes too. Suitable from 10 weeks until baby arrives, and many mummies-to-be try yoga for the first time during pregnancy. Also Mum & Baby Yoga after baby arrives.
