During the Covd-19 pandemic a lot of our local baby and children’s classes and activities stopped running, or moved to online classes. For all of the listings on here please check with the organiser if it is on or off before attending.
I am endeavouring to keep the listings as up to date as possible but please check with organisers first, thanks for your understanding.

Sling Strong (formerly sling fit mama) is a baby wearing class combining fitness, toning and strength, it will help to strengthen all the muscles weakened by pregnancy and childbirth. The classes are carefully structured to have your baby in a sling throughout the duration, so it is great for bonding with baby and stealing a quick kiss. There are obviously no nursery fees or guilt of leaving your baby… you can actually do something for YOU that benefits you both. Your teacher is also a baby wearing peer support worker, so is on hand to help with any sling needs. Also teaching Antenatal and Mama fitness classes.

The Hull and East Yorkshire Home Birth Support Group was set up in October 2011 by local women who have all given birth to their children at home, and want to be able to support other parents to have a positive home birth experience.
The group currently meets on the third Monday evening/day time of each month and is also attended by local midwives, doulas, hypnobirthing practitioners, breastfeeding peer supporters and antenatal teachers, many of whom have had home births themselves, and can offer additional information and support. Everyone is welcome – partners, along with other birth partners, other children and friends. The meetings are a great opportunity to meet other people who have had or are having a home birth, ask any questions, seek reassurance and support.
For more info check out their website here or follow them on facebook. They also have a closed discussion group on Facebook – search for Hull and East Yorkshire Home Birth Discussion Group.
