Thread and Press – Get Creative for Under 16s

thread and pressStarts September

Term time and holiday clubs, including sewing parties and small group/one-to-one tuition. These sessions are designed to give creative project opportunities to young people who love to get involved in art and sewing activities.

We love to work with young people and our sessions offer the opportunity for children aged 9 –  16 years to make friends in a safe and friendly environment after school or on a Saturday morning. Our sessions run projects on rotation, including areas such as sewing, screenprinting, printmaking, craft, illustration and art! Each session is run by an experienced teacher, and we know how to make our sessions safe and fun. Whether they are new to these techniques or wanting to build on what they already know, we can provide a fun project that will allow them to feel the confidence and satisfaction of making something wonderful. Such projects include making their own clothing, printing their own cushions and crafting their own keepsake box.  Come and join us for some creative fun! To comply with government Covid-19 guidance, groups sizes will be small and well-spaced in each venue, with individual resources to use. 10% sibling discount available. Sessions are bookable only in blocks of termly or half termly.  All sessions are run by experienced teachers with Enhanced DBS.

Cottingham, Darby and Joan Hall: Alternate Saturday mornings (with a 3 week gap over half term) starts Saturday 12th September 2020. 7 sessions for £70. Ages 9-11 years 9am – 10.30am. Ages 12-16 years 11am – 12.30pm. Sessions also at Allerthopre/Pocklington.

We are also offering sewing sessions for small groups or one-to-one tuition at your home/venue (see Kids Parties section).

Children can run on their own or with a grown up, marshals are carefully placed around the course so children are always in sight of a marshal and it’s safe.
