DITTO- Young Girl’s Anxiety Support Group

Are you a girl aged 10-15 from Hull and surrounding areas? Do you often feel anxious or worried, or struggle to like yourself and compare yourself to others? Anxious about school? Been bullied or have friendship struggles? There are spaces for 10 girls to join together with other girls feeling the same in our six week class. A chance to chat with fun crafts and projects to boost your confidence, whilst making some new friends!

A six week class for girls aged 10-15 struggling with anxiety, low self esteem or friendship troubles. A chance to chat, get creative and make new friends!

Driffield – East Riding Youth Brass Band

East Riding Youth Brass Band have places available for complete beginners in their junior section. Membership of the band is FREE, and instrument hire is also free to members. Rehearsals are usually fortnightly on Saturdays 9.45 – 10.30 at Performing Arts Centre of Driffield School. The senior band would also like to hear from existing brass & percussion players who want experience in a brass band. They accept players up to 21 years of age, who are still in education. (They also welcome support from adult members.) The senior section meets fortnightly from 10.00 – 12.00.

Fitmums & Friends Juniors: Junior Athletic Sessions

At Fitmums & Friends’ Juniors and 10 to Teens sessions, children from 5 years to teens can enjoy being active while developing their athletics skills. Sessions are open to children of all abilities and fitness levels, and are delivered by fully qualified athletics coaches (England Athletics).

Guitar Lessons with RJS Music

5.30 – 7.00. All Saint’s Church, Hessle. We are a new pack with a very experienced Brown Owl, Chantelle. Our second leader is Louise Dell who has been a dance teacher for nearly 30 years. Our pack is structured around what our girls want to do. They help plan the meetings around the Brownie program. The girls come from lots of different schools. They are all age 7-9 yrs old.   • Wednesday, 6-7pm. Lego Club – Join us for some Lego building fun, suitable for kids 5 years and above. Tickets are free but must be booked online.
  • Thursday, 6-7pm. Make and Take – Weekly kids craft sessions, for children aged 4 – 14 years old. Children under 8 yrs must be accompanied by an adult. Donations of 50p and above are welcome to cover the costs of materials, must be booked online.

  • Thursday, 4-5pm. Lego Club

Hull’s Ice Arena has lots of different skating sessions including:

  • Family skating (family tickets available)

Relax Kids Hull and East Riding

Relax Kids Hull & East Riding aim to build calm, confident kids through group, family and one to one sessions (in person or online via zoom). They follow the Relax Kids 7 steps: Move, Play, Stretch, Feel, Breath, Believe and Relax, helping children and families understand emotion, the brain and how to manage big feelings and challenges in life.

We now have groups for 4-6 year olds and 7-11 year olds. Groups must be block booked as the programme follows on each week enabling the children to build their knowledge and understanding and their relationships in the group.  Group numbers are limited to 10 to ensure everyone feels seen and heard. 4-6 year olds MUST have an adult stay with them.  We feel this helps embed the learning and allows this to be continued at home.
Wednesdays at Lady of Lourdes Church, Swanland Road, Hessle (hall at the back) – 4.30-5.20 for 4-6 year olds, 5.30-6.30 for 7-11 year olds.

Singing with Zoe

Does your child love to sing? Do they need help with their confidence? Join SINGING WITH ZOE every Thursday evening at Hessle Town Hall for our Singing Club and Exam Classes, for children aged 8 – 15 years.

Our Singing Club is perfect for children of all singing abilities. Students will explore both Pop and Musical Theatre styles, play lots of fun drama games and work towards termly showcases for family and friends. If your child is interested in taking established Musical Theatre examinations, our Exam Class follows directly after our Singing Club and students will work towards graded exams.

At Singing With Zoe, we believe that every child deserves to feel valued and have their voices heard. Through supportive training, we aim to build the confidence and self-esteem of every child that attends our sessions. Thread and Press offer fun, creative  sessions for 8-16 years olds in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Our term time Get Creative Under 16 clubs are for learners to explore sewing, screen-printing, print-making and more! We show children how to use machinery and equipment safely and we provide exciting and fantastic projects that will allow them to create something to be proud of.
