The main festival will run from Saturday, 29 July to Sunday, 6 August, and there will also be activities and events throughout July, August and September. Tickets are available here now.
New for this year will be events in support of Beverley Pride, taking place on Saturday, 5 August at Beverley Library. Families can join drag queen Regina Sparkles for Drag Queen Storytime, listen to author LD Lapinski as they speak about their book, ‘Jamie’, and even hear from East Riding Libraries staff in their storytimes that celebrate everything unique about you!
Puppets, Plays and Storydays are back again with an interactive and energetic retelling of Michael Rosen’s fantastic story, ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.’ A classic children’s story, this event will be touring around libraries in the East Riding, starting at North Bridlington Library on 29 July and finishing at Beverley Library on 6 August. During that time, it will also be stopping at Hessle, Haltemprice, Pocklington, South Cave, Willerby, Goole, and Market Weighton.
As well as this, Star Wars artist, JAKe, will be joining East Riding Libraries for a series of ‘How to Draw Star Wars’ workshops, where young padwans can become drawing jedis. With sessions taking place across the East Riding, JAKe will show you how to draw your favourite characters from the Star Wars universe, including Droids, Wookies, Bounty Hunters and more.
