Play Days are back for the summer on the Harbour Deck at Princes Quay Shopping Centre in Hull! These have been school holiday rainy day saviours for me in the past so I was keen to find out what was going on this summer.
I popped along last weekend and my two children spent a while in their free play area, which included some giant games, a small slide and tunnel (which I couldn’t get my toddler off!) and tables with crafts on which my 5 year old really liked. There is also balloon modelling and face painting for a small fee.
During the school holidays this free play area will be set alongside some bigger paid for activities such as mini water boats and rides. There’s also the Crazy Club soft play, bowling and arcades on the Harbour Deck to go in whilst you’re there.
There’s so much going on in Hull City Centre this summer that this is a good place to stop off at to make a longer day out. We had a full day out by going to the Amy Johnson festival in Zebedees Yard, spending some time in the free Play Days area then having a stroll around the marina. The Hull Maritime Museum is also opposite Princes Quay so for wet days this is an ideal combination!
Play Days are running on the following dates during the summer holidays, open from 11am – 3pm each day:
