Adventure Play Town

Autumn lights firework events, picture of fireworks in the skyAutumn Lights is a spectacular touring firework fiesta taking place across various UK cities in October and November 2024. This family-friendly event features two mesmerizing firework displays choreographed to music from around the world.

The event promises an evening filled with entertainment, including live performances by dance duo Phats & Small, known for their hit “Turn Around,” and the evening compered by award winning DJ Ryan Swain. Visitors can enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with walkabout entertainers, fire-eaters, and the captivating LED drummers, Spark. The event also boasts a family funfair, offering a variety of rides and attractions for all ages1. Street food stalls and bars will be available, serving a range of delicious options to satisfy every palate.

Autumn Lights will be held in several locations, closest to Hull are:

  • Lincoln: 1st November 2024 at Lincolnshire Showground, LN2 2NA
  • Leeds: 2nd November 2024 at Temple Newsam Park, LS15 0AD
  • York 4th November 2024 at Elvington Airfield, YO41 4AU
  • Sheffield 5th November 2024 at Don Valley Bowl

Each venue will host the event from 4pm to 9pm, with firework displays scheduled for 7.40pm and the grand finale at 9pm. Ticket prices are £12.99 per adult and £5.99 for Children aged 2-16 online, with tickets on the gate priced at £15 per adult and £8 per child.

Embark on an epic adventure through the walled garden! Seek out the eight hidden Harvest Heroes, mark them off on your spotter sheet and gather the secret letters. Once you’ve discovered them all, rearrange the letters to reveal the mystery harvest word.

Drop-in nature-related activities will be taking place on Tuesday 29 and Thursday 31 October in the American Garden.

Try out the wilderness play area where little (and big) explorers can test their climbing skills on two different clamber stacks. With slides for all ages, a climbing wall, and a rope bridge, there’s plenty of adventure to be had. Choose from a variety of swings, including a spacious cantilever bucket seat perfect for a group of friends. If you’re feeling creative, the den-building zone awaits for you to design your own woodland hideaway.

Call in the hall and explore The Botanical World of Mary Delany art exhibition, practice your paper folding techniques in the origami room or experience the space using the sensory bags available.

Don’t forget your coats and wellies—autumn fun often comes with a little mud and plenty of memories made. Free entry for National Trust and RHS members and under-fives. Open 10am – 5pm on 26 & 27 October, then 10am – 3.30pm from 28 October.

Boston Park Farm is a traditional working farm, with the farm park which is open to the public and allows children to get up close with a wide range of farm animals. You can pet and feed most of the animals and also join in with animal handling sessions.

Halloween & Pumpkin Patch: 12th to 31st October 2024, 10am-4pm. Explore our MUD-FREE pumpkin patch, take on the pumpkin hunt around the Maize Maze, and carve your very own lantern. It’s the ultimate Halloween experience for all ages!

Pumpkin Trail: 8th – 31st October 2024. Help us find a gaggle of pesky pumpkins hiding around the House! Our younger visitors and their families are invited to take part in our Pumpkin Trail and spot the hidden pumpkins during their visit.
