Discover a world of curiosity and imagination at Adventure Play Town, located at the K3 business park on Clough Road, Hull. Our vibrant and engaging children’s role play centre is designed to spark creativity and bring dreams to life. With a magical town filled with themed play areas, little adventurers can become fearless astronauts, daring firefighters, brilliant chefs, and much more. We also have a large, spacious cafe area serving great value, high quality drinks and snacks.
Recommended age is babies up to age 7. Open 7 days a week during school holidays. Play sessions are bookable in 90 minute slots – mid week at 9.30am, 11.30am and 1.30pm, Friday to Sunday at 9.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm.

Autumn Lights is a spectacular touring firework fiesta taking place across various UK cities in October and November 2024. This family-friendly event features two mesmerizing firework displays choreographed to music from around the world.
The event promises an evening filled with entertainment, including live performances by dance duo Phats & Small, known for their hit “Turn Around,” and the evening compered by award winning DJ Ryan Swain. Visitors can enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with walkabout entertainers, fire-eaters, and the captivating LED drummers, Spark. The event also boasts a family funfair, offering a variety of rides and attractions for all ages1. Street food stalls and bars will be available, serving a range of delicious options to satisfy every palate.

Each venue will host the event from 4pm to 9pm, with firework displays scheduled for 7.40pm and the grand finale at 9pm. Ticket prices are £12.99 per adult and £5.99 for Children aged 2-16 online, with tickets on the gate priced at £15 per adult and £8 per child.

Harvest Heroes runs 26th October – 3rd November 2024
Embark on an epic adventure through the walled garden! Seek out the eight hidden Harvest Heroes, mark them off on your spotter sheet and gather the secret letters. Once you’ve discovered them all, rearrange the letters to reveal the mystery harvest word.
Drop-in nature-related activities will be taking place on Tuesday 29 and Thursday 31 October in the American Garden.
Try out the wilderness play area where little (and big) explorers can test their climbing skills on two different clamber stacks. With slides for all ages, a climbing wall, and a rope bridge, there’s plenty of adventure to be had. Choose from a variety of swings, including a spacious cantilever bucket seat perfect for a group of friends. If you’re feeling creative, the den-building zone awaits for you to design your own woodland hideaway.
Call in the hall and explore The Botanical World of Mary Delany art exhibition, practice your paper folding techniques in the origami room or experience the space using the sensory bags available.
Don’t forget your coats and wellies—autumn fun often comes with a little mud and plenty of memories made. Free entry for National Trust and RHS members and under-fives. Open 10am – 5pm on 26 & 27 October, then 10am – 3.30pm from 28 October.

Boston Park Farm is a traditional working farm, with the farm park which is open to the public and allows children to get up close with a wide range of farm animals. You can pet and feed most of the animals and also join in with animal handling sessions.
Family Halloween Disco: 26th October 2024, 4-7pm: Dress up in your spookiest outfits and join us for a family-friendly Halloween disco! Dance, carve pumpkins, enjoy face painting (extra charge), and chase through the maize by torchlight to find hidden pumpkins. Tip: Don’t forget to bring your own torch for the maze!

Castle Howard has a frighteningly fun autumn and October half term planned for the whole family to enjoy. Pick the perfect pumpkin at the Pumpkin Patch; wrap up warm to watch a Halloween classic at its Outdoor Adventure Cinema; join the Skelves on the Great Pumpkin Adventure at Skelf Island Adventure Playground; bring the children along to a Halloween Storytime and Bath Bomb Workshop hosted by Helena Garcia; and complete the Pumpkin Trail inside the House.
Pumpkin Patch: 1st – 31st October 2024. The Castle Howard Garden Centre Pumpkin Patch is back for the fourth year running! Explore the patch and choose your perfect pumpkin. Whether small, medium, or large, there are varying sizes and colours, perfect for carving, decorating and making the most of the spooky season. Entry to the Pumpkin Patch is free. The Great Pumpkin Adventure with the Skelves: 30th October – 3rd November 2024. The pesky Skelves of Skelf Island Adventure Playground are performing a brand-new play this half term at Castle Howard! Join them on a pumpkin-tastic adventure full of magic and mischief. Watch the show at the Skelf Island Adventure Playground. Included in admission.
Pumpkin Trail: 8th – 31st October 2024. Help us find a gaggle of pesky pumpkins hiding around the House! Our younger visitors and their families are invited to take part in our Pumpkin Trail and spot the hidden pumpkins during their visit.
