2020 – Pick Your Own Pumpkin at The Pumpkin Patch Produce, Bewholme!

We will be running Pick Your Own Pumpkin events where you can choose from our field of thousands of pumpkins grown on our East Yorkshire Pumpkin Farm! (PYO dates below). If you can’t make it to our Pick Your Own events, or if you’d like all the fun of the farm without the mud, then pop down to our HUGE farm display and shop where we have hundreds of pumpkins of all shapes, colours and sizes to choose from! The farm is open from 9am-6pm EVERY DAY up to Halloween. Check out the spooky barn and take a moment to pose in front of our pumpkin mountain for some Pumpkintastic autumn photos!
FREE ENTRY to the Farm and Pick Your Own events  – you only pay for what you pick!

Or why not do a pumpkin trail around your neighbourhood? Colour in a pumpkin and pop it in your window to display, then see how many you can spot when you go for a walk. 2020 – The glamping site in Flixton, near Scarborough, will be open to the public (not just guests) for October half term for families to enjoy their Halloween event.

  • Complete the spooky trail and nature walk
  • Meet the farmyard gang
  • Pick a pumpkin and carve it

Plus refreshments are available to purchase including wood fired pizzas.

Pre-booked slots only, 10am-12noon or 1-3pm, booking via their website.

While our spooky trail is an outdoor event, we ask ALL GUESTS to follow the social distancing guidelines (2metres) and if this isn’t possible, then facemasks must be worn. We also follow all the latest Government Guidelines on numbers of guests. We ask all guests to wash their hands and sanitize them regularly. Please check latest covid-19 guidelines on their website before travelling to the event.

2020 – Trick or Treat delivered to your home. Trick or Treating might be a bit different this year due to COVID19, however at Pretty’s Sweets we want to deliver happiness to your homes. Surprise your children with our Halloween Trick or Treat box, jam packed with ghostly treats. Beautifully presented sweets with a Halloween twist!

2020 – Come along to Spilmans family farm this Halloween 2020 and visit the famous PYO & Pumpkin Festival! The Spilmans Festival is on a real authentic farm where you can pick your pumpkin from the field it was grown in – plus there are loads of other fun things to do to make this a very Autumnal, Halloween experience!


  • Pick and Carve your Pumpkins on site
  • Pick your own Sunflowers & Potatoes too! (3rd, 4th, 10th & 11th October Only)
  • Rainbow Maize Maze – Covid Safe Maze Experience – Follow the farm clues and complete the activity sheet as you walk around the trail. (The maize maze may be closed in wet weather)
  • Corn Cannon – have some fun blasting cobs out of our corn cannon! Fire corn on the cob, at targets.
  • Tractor Rides – Hop on our trailer and hear all about our farm and what we grow. Drive past the pumpkin patch full of orange and white pumpkins.
  • Bale Mountain – Climb our huge straw mountain, right to the top. Catch a great view of our pumpkin patch and a sea of orange pumpkins!
  • Fairground Rides – In addition to the Pumpkin festival, there are some optional extra fairground rides to enjoy. (these are cash only and not included in the credit system)

With PYO pumpkins ready to pick from 1st October and festival dates running on; Weekends 3rd & 4th, 10 & 11th, 17 & 18th, then for the full week from 20th to 31st. Opening at 8am, last ticket time 3.30pm. Booking in half hour slots so that it won’t be too busy at one time.

Pre book your tickets for £10 then use this full £10 in credit towards the Pumpkins, Carving, Maze, Corn Cannon, Tractor Rides & Bale Mountain. Plus if you get there early, you can pick sunflowers and potatoes with the credits too!

2020 – Halloween may be a little different this year, so why not order your Halloween sweet filled balloon! Personalised sweet balloon filled with a variety of spooky sweets. Choose from either a spooky jelly mix or chocolate mix.

Allerthorpe Lakeland Park Halloween Activities

2020 – Allerthorpe are planning to run their October half term school holiday Halloween activities from Saturday 24th October until Sunday 1st November.
£7per child for all activities, everything needed included – Pumpkin Trail, Pumpkin Carving, Spooky Art, Tie Dye T-shirt or baseball cap, Craft a Bird fat ball.

Farmer Copley’s Pumpkin Festival

It has certainly been a bit of a strange year although we’re still going to be running our Pumpkin Festival for 2020 & we’re determined to bring some smiles back to people’s faces & most importantly keeping everyone safe! We’ve planted the usual amount, over 130,000 and we intend to have all the usual festivities as well as some exciting new things for 2020.

Normanby Hall Halloween Spook Walk

2020 – Halloween Spook Walk running daily. The walled garden at Normanby Hall has had an eerie transformation and becomes the perfect setting for ghosts, witches and even a mad scientist to take residence for October half term. Taking part in this activity is free as part of your annual membership. No pre-booking is required however you might be asked to queue as numbers are limited.

2020 – Limited Tickets for Halloween Pumpkin Festival Available. In order to keep everybody safe this Halloween, we have slashed the number of tickets available so book soon to avoid disappointment!

This year, we will be hosting a “Pumpkin Festival” with lots of pumpkin themed activities including the brand new “Enchanted Pumpkin Show” with “Mona and Maud” our resident friendly witches and of course a FREE pumpkin for every child, which can be carved on site to save you the mess at home!

Sandy Bottom Pumpkin Picking

2020 – Open every weekend, plus daily during half term (up to 31st October 2020) from 9am-5pm.

40,000 pumpkins of all shapes and sizes to choose from. Large, small, orange, white, green, blue and even the warty ugly ones.  There will be an array of food and drink options to warm those cosy autumnal days, along with fun activities and treasure hunts for kids to take part in.

A proportion of each pumpkin sale will be donated to MIND – for better mental health.

They will also have a large Halloween display to see (however sadly the annual Halloween events will not go ahead this year due to social distancing measures).

Spooky Brodsworth Hall

2020 – Gather your little monsters for a ghoulishly good day out at Brodsworth Hall this half term. Follow the trail to solve creepy clues and gather round to listen to spooky stories. There’s a frighteningly fun fancy dress competition every day – just come in your scariest outfits to be in with a chance of winning. Entry to the event is included in the standard admission ticket price.

Sundown Adventureland Spooktacular Halloween

2020 – A fun-filled, spooky day out, it’s only ever spooky and never scary. The fun starts with the Picture Pumpkin Puzzle, find the eight hidden Pumpkins around the park then head over to the Pumpkin Patch Cafe to get yourself a sweet treat as a reward. The park will be decorated with lots of spooky loveliness throughout and there’ll be loads for the kids to see and do. Prebooked tickets only.
