With all the characters you loved from the Disney film this is the perfect Half Term treat, and with an extra midday matinee on the Saturday, even the smallest theatre goers are able to come along! Come on a magic carpet ride as we take you to the city of Agrabah and explore a whole new world!

Join us as we meet Aladdin, Jasmine and all of their friends in the Disney version of this classic tale featuring the award winning music of Alan Menken. So come along and enjoy hearing all your Disney favourites such as Friend Like Me, Prince Ali, Arabian Nights and of course the stunning A Whole New World sung live on stage you are guaranteed to be leaving singing your favourite tunes.

Burton Agnes Spooky Halloween Trail

26th October until 3rd November 2019, 11am – 4pm 

If you are feeling brave this half term, why not venture over to Burton Agnes Hall and take part in their spooky woodland trail? Every Halloween, fearless visitors are welcomed to an eerie hunt round the Hall’s atmospheric woodland, where clues are hidden amidst dramatic and creative spooky Halloween scenes, with fishing skeletons and much more new for 2019!  Once the entire puzzle has been solved, a treat awaits in the Gift Shop.

After the thrill of the spooky woodland trail, visitors can relax in the comfort of the courtyard and enjoy homemade meals, light bites and indulgent treats in the café, while the courtyard shops will be brimming with original gifts and seasonal and Yorkshire-made produce. Visitors can also choose from a range of home grown plants, propagated from the gardens.

The spooky Halloween woodland trail runs from 26th October to 3rd November and is designed for all the family to enjoy. There is no extra charge for the trail: admission is included in the normal Gardens price and is free for Burton Agnes Hall members. Wizard Wooo Halloween Ticket. By popular demand, we’ll be welcoming back Wizard Wooo for a night of Creepy Crawlies fun! Look forward to an evening of ghostly trails, spooky games and Halloween excitement!

Wizard Wooooo will be leading his interactive spooky (but not too scary!) trail for the whole of the family so please dress for outdoors and bring a torch. Halloween Lantern Walk in the Fairywood

northwood englands fairy sanctuary halloween 25th October to 3rd November 2019, 4pm – 8pm (hour slots).

Northwood Trail, England’s Fairy Sanctuary, nestled in a 100 acre wood at Buttercrambe close to York. Guided walk through the twilight fairy woods. Lantern walks at dusk and first dark, aimed at little ones or those of all ages who would rather not be scared witless, but want to enjoy a more seasonal experience instead.

Arrive to the Northwood kitchen and then be shown to the Autumn tent and have a free glass of alcoholic or non alcoholic punch. after a short storytelling from Professor Howlands collection, be taken on the lantern walk. Approximate total time 1 hour. Afterwards enjoy the fairy museum and relax in the Northwood kitchen bar.

Very limited sessions with a maximum of 40 per session. Lanterns for the walk, available to buy or borrow. Come dressed for the season and weather with appropriate footwear. Pink Pig Farm Halloween – Harry Trotter at Hogfields

pink pig farm halloween Things are beginning to look rather mysterious and wonderful, as we get ready for our October half term Halloween event. This year, as well as the annual pumpkin carving sessions, Pink Pig Farm will be transformed into Hogfields Wizarding School. 

Between 19th – 27th October, you can enjoy a number of wizarding themed activities such as; creating disgusting potions, devising magical spells, having your photograph taken flying through the trees after graduating from a broomstick training session or with Harry Trotter. Look out for owls on the woodland trail and meet our real-life barn owls, plus specially themed food and drink (extra charge).

On the 26th of October, between 6pm and 8pm, Pink Pig Farm will become Hogfields Wizarding School. Are you brave enough for a night time visit? Tickets are bookable on our website.

For extra Halloween fun, will again be hosting our annual, traditional Pumpkin Carving Sessions. Select your own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch in Farmer Andrew’s field, take it to Hogfields School Hall and carve out your very own design, the spookier the better! This is an add on feature and the cost does not include admission to the Farm Park, so don´t forget to book your “Add-On” pumpkin carving session when you buy your entry tickets online.

Smile Cafe – Paint a Halloween Pot

smile cafe october half term 2019The Mile is a farmshop, gift shop and campsite in Pocklington with a great cafe, Smile Cafe. For younger children under five, there’s a lovely indoor soft play area within the cafe plus an outdoor play area. There is also a quieter seating area in the farm shop for older children and families.

This October Half Term 2019 paint a spooky pot! Pottery painting available in the cafe daily 26th October to 30th October. Paints are acrylic so can be taken away that day. Pop in for lunch, a snack, a play and some painting!

Williams Den Pumpkin Party

Cannon Hall Farm Pumpkin Festival & Wizardry School

Cannon Hall Farm Pumpkin Festival invites young witches and wizards to join the fun of our Wizardry School. The Pumpkin Patch is returning once again and young witches and wizards will get to ‘graduate’ if they complete the challenges. There are thousands of pumpkins available for visitors to pick – and expert carvers will be on hand to help families create the perfect spooky lantern.
