Opera North will be launching a children’s chorus in January 2018 in collaboration with the University of Hull. The choir is open to children ages 8-12 and will meet every Tuesday evening between 5pm and 6.30pm at the Middleton Hall, University of Hull. It will provide boys and girls with exciting opportunities to develop outstanding vocal technique and musicianship skills through the support of a professional opera company. In 2018, the children’s chorus will take part in Seasons of Love which will tell a story of love and loss through the seasons of the year based on traditional folk songs and tales. They will also have the chance to perform alongside the Chorus of Opera North in June. Join us for singing fun and games and to find out more at the free taster session.
