Oakhill Nature Reserve Goole Conservation Event

Oakhill Nature Reserve, off Tom Pudding Way, Goole.

24th November from 10am – 3pm: Conservation Day. The day will be an opportunity to join the Oakhill rangers for activities including tree planting on the nature reserve. The activity offers a unique opportunity to spend time in the peaceful wetland on the nature reserve which is only open to visitors at certain times of the year.  Find out how to coppice the young willow stems and take part.  Suitable for all abilities and participants can just stay as long as they wish. All equipment will be provided, and participants should wear outdoor clothing and bring a packed lunch. Meet at the reserve car park. The event is free.

25 November: Oakhill Circular – a chance to join forces with The Ramblers, led by Don Stuart, and discover the nature reserve around Oakhill and venture along the canal towpath on an eight-mile circular walk. Meet at 10.30am at the car park at the Oakhill Nature Reserve off Tom Pudding Way in Goole. Tickets for this walk cost £3.50 for adults; £2.50 for adults over 60 and children under 16; and £9 for a family ticket (up to two adults and three children).
