  • Fabric printing – The children will have a mirror to draw a portrait of themselves or the person next to them straight onto a polystyrene tile. Mark making with tools like forks, lolly pop sticks ect they will build up there picture and observations of what they see in the mirror. With this tile they will then use a roller to paint over and print with a colour pallet similar to the colours used in the exhibition and print there design onto a cut piece of fabric. These fabric pieces will be stapled together to form a larger piece which will be draped around the finished display.
  • Marble effect painting – Using a pre made 6 foot Roman pillar (card board) the children will be shown how to create a marble effect using paints, feathers and sponges. The pillar like the ones on the frescos will be draped in the fabric made from the printing station.
  • There will be a third station to colour in images of the exhibition with crayons. And to make leaf shapes out of gold pipe cleaners to finish off the display.
