East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s countryside access team has arranged a special events to celebrate spring – Birds at Beverley Parks is a new bird watching walk around the nature reserve. It will be a chance to see and hear birds in this varied landscape of field, hedgerow, orchard and parkland, and also an opportunity to find out the results of last year’s breeding bird survey in the area. Led by a birdwatching guide from Yorkshire Coast Nature, the event will include a stroll of up to a mile. Participants should bring their own binoculars if possible, though a few will be available to borrow.
Meet at Beverley Parks Local Nature Reserve, off Long Lane. The event will be from 10am -12.30pm. Booking is essential. This event costs £3.50 for adults; £2.50 for over 60s and under 16s; or a family ticket costs £9 (two adults and up to three children).
