This colourful tale from the Arabian Nights is set in the Middle East: a place of mystery, enchantment and strange, mythical creatures. Large scale colourful contemporary Shadow Puppet theatre tells of a poor street boy who falls hopelessly in love with a Royal Princess. What magic would he need just to see her again? A very limited number of free tickets (only 5 pairs per show) are available for children who bring with them a grandparent or friend or relative of similar age to a grandparent (older people who live alone or away from family members are particularly encouraged) and on condition that they can stay for an exclusive intergenerational shadow puppet workshop after the show. This element is the final (and extra) installment of Indigo Moon Theatre’s “Suitcase of Dreams”, an intergenerational puppet pilot project, supported by Arts Council England and Hull City Council.
