Pam Medhurst runs Yogabelllies classes in Hull and Beverley. The following recommendations were sent in for her yoga classes in pregnancy and post birth with your baby:
Amy: “I did the classes and started when I was 17 weeks pregnant. I was dubious at first but thought anything that might help me with labour was worth a shot. I loved it from the very first session and continued classes up until I was 36 weeks pregnant! The classes were informal and relaxing and Pam goes out of her way to get people talking and help with giving people support networks. The yoga was amazing and I genuinely believe it is the reason I did not suffer with any back or pelvic pain. The additional skills Pam teaches in terms of breathing and labour position techniques helped me massively during labour. I would recommend these classes to anyone I knew that was pregnant!”
Sarah: “I just wanted to recommend Pam Medhurst for both yoga during pregnancy and after when you can go with your baby. She’s great!”
Emma: “Just finished my Yogabellies classes, this was my second time doing Yogabellies with Pam, I first did the class three years ago during my first pregnancy. I enjoyed the classes as it was great to make time to do something just for me, and to have time bonding with my bump. The stretches and different poses really alleviate some of the aches and pains of being heavily pregnant, and gives you some ideas of how to get comfy at home too. The relaxation at the end of the class is heaven and I always slept well after a class. It is great to meet other pregnant ladies and hear their stories too. The breathing techniques really helped during labour, as did many of the poses, I had a much quicker labour second time round and the breathing and movements helped. I would definitely recommend this class, Pam is lovely, and her classes are calming and reassuring.”
