VictimFocus – Humberside Survey for Girls 16+ & Women
Survey participants needed: VictimFocus are currently working alongside Humberside’s Police and Crime Commissioner to conduct research to explore the different experiences of violence, harassment and abuse of women and girls in Humberside.
This study seeks the largest possible sample of girls aged 16 and 17 years old, and adult women in Humberside, to present the real experiences and prevalence of abuse and violence against women and girls from birth. The findings from this study will provide the vital information needed for VictimFocus to report back to Humberside PCC about the prevalence of violence and abuse through a wide range of experiences of women and girls. This study seeks to explore several key issues:
How prevalent is violence against and abuse of women and girls in the Humberside area?
Do women and girls in Humberside feel able to report their experiences to the police, or tell someone about what happened to them?
Are we collecting enough information on broad types of violence, abuse and oppression of women and girls in Humberside?
There is the opportunity to take part in one or more of the below:
1. Online anonymous questionnaire (will take about 10 minutes to complete) 2. Face to face/online meetings for surveying and interviews 3. Focus groups (online and face to face)
