We used to pop in for a bounce quite often (it’s a great wet weekend day out idea), we’d been to the Toddler Bounce sessions midweek and we’d held my sons birthday party there. Since the pandemic we haven’t been in but, after some pestering from my children that they wanted to go back, we booked a slot for over the bank holiday weekend.
Gravity is inside St Stephens Shopping Centre in Hull city city; you can access it through the car park or from the ground floor entrance outside which is opposite the train/bus station, making it very easy to get to on all transport. We drove and parked in St Stephens and my children literally sprinted across the bridge to get in, they were so excited to be back! You get half price parking with your entry Monday-Saturday, or its just £2 all day on a Sunday to park there (which we did so we could do other things in the city centre afterwards). We checked in, watched the safety video, did a warm up, and then they were off into the park.
The park still has a huge amount of trampolines to bounce on, between or around, my kids really like the wall/angled trampolines for bouncing off too. There is also the big inflatable pillow and the basketball hoops which they spent time on and a fab new addition, a revolving pugil stick! My kids absolute favourite bit though was the dodgeball section where they spent a lot of their time, battling each other and with other kids using the park.
Under 5s need accompanying by a grown up and I have lots of memories of me bouncing at Gravity on past visits; it’s really fun for adults too and a great work out (I always came off shattered!). Since the pandemic both of my children are well over 5 now so I was sent upstairs by them to watch. There is a good cafe upstairs, we had the coffee and cake offer which was lovely! From there we could watch them bounce and enjoy themselves.
After an hour of bouncing my very sweaty and tired children flopped out of the park! They’d had a great time bouncing and I’d had a great time watching them, especially as they were having fun and being active. The location of Gravity is perfect to combine with doing other things in the city centre. We bounced at 11am then did a bit of shopping, had lunch and then wandered over to the marina and Humber Street to see the boats, making it a full day out.
