It’s the original script and story so is told in a very classic way, this was great for us as it was educational as well as an enjoyable evening. The cast are excellent, many of them playing multiple parts, and it was great to see some familiar faces who played roles in their Christmas show from last year. The set is simple but effective and all together it was a very good re-telling of the story.
It is suitable for all the family but I would say it’s definitely a better one for older children, secondary school age, due to the nature of the storyline and the effects. My son is 14 and said that he found some of the scenes quite creepy. He did enjoy it though and it was a lovely thing to do together for Christmas (as it is getting harder to find things he actually wants to do with me!). I hope it helped with his end of term English exam too!
