This year Father’s Day falls on the 21st June 2020. Finding special things to do for Father’s Day can be tricky enough but this year it falls in lockdown!! So here are a few ideas for things to do:
Pub at home: The pubs may be closed but a lot are doing a collection or delivery service of their pub food, some even their drinks to go with it. A pub tea is our default Fathers Day option every year so I plan to get a pub tea at home for our daddy. Find a list of all pubs (and take-aways) doing food collection or delivery on Mumbler here.
BBQ at home: Our daddy is the king of our BBQ and loves doing one so, weather permitting, how about a BBQ meat box so he can make his own feast? Most of the local butchers are open and have BBQ packs in (we got a fabulous one recently from Hoe-Richardson Butchers on Willerby Road in Hull).
Family Walk or Bike Ride: We have lots of great places to go locally for a walk or cycle – we have the river, the coast, the countryside, and in Hull city centre around the marina always makes a nice walk. Find a list of ideas on Mumbler here.
A Day Out! Some places are starting to re-open, especially some of our local county house and gardens, so you could go for a day out. One Stop Golf on National Avenue Hull has re-opened if he fancies a round of crazy golf or footgolf! You can find a list of who is open on Mumbler here (please check before you go as some you need to book a slot online in advance).
Gift Idea: Check out these personalised chocolates from Morse Toad, a lovely gift for Fathers Day, read all about them on Mumbler here.
Or if you would like him to have a choice I have the solution to that! Print off these Mumbler Vouchers and he can pick and choose what he wants to do! Download them here.
