The Hull company’s alternative, rock’n’roll panto has become a homegrown hit and an annual tradition for countless families across the city, since its first show back in 2011.
Now, Middle Child are looking to complete the cast of Treasure Island, by finding a primary school-age child from Hull to be their Voice of Panto.
Last year seven-year old Ellie Seaton melted hearts, recording the pre-show messages that play over the speakers for audiences at Social.
To enter this year’s competition, simply send Middle Child a voice note featuring the child in your life saying their name, age and the reason we should they should be chosen as the Voice of Panto. You can send these through Facebook Messenger, Instagram or WhatsApp on 07763 633459.
The winner will need to be available to visit Middle Child in Hull’s Old Town, accompanied by a grown-up, to record the announcements on Thursday 13 December 2024 at 5.30pm. Middle Child can also cover your travel costs to and from their space, whether that’s a taxi, bus fare or car parking.
The competition closes at midday on Thursday 5 December, so there isn’t long to enter, and the cast of Treasure Island will pick the winner on Friday 6 December. As a thank you for their hard work, Middle Child will also give the winner four tickets to the 6pm performance of Treasure Island on Saturday 21 December.
See the Middle Child website for full details about the show and terms and conditions for the Voice of Panto competition.
If you would like to see Treasure Island, it will be at Social on Humber Street from 20th to 29th December 2024. Recommended age 4+. Book tickets here.
