Balloon Tree Farm Cafe

The award-winning farm shop and newly expanded café specialises in home-grown fruit, veg, and local and rare breed meats, plus the finest homemade food including quiches, scones, soups and seasonal dishes. Also serves afternoon tea. A great day out for all the family – entertain the children in the brand new play area and visit the animal corner with feeding platform, while you relax in the cafe garden. Plus pick your own in the summer.

Our excellent delicatessen serves a wide range of delicious hot and cold goodies. The bakery and deli ovens are also on display so you can see the cakes being baked in all their glory. There is also a sandwich station where superfresh sandwiches will be made to order in front of the customers. We are making it easier for customers to eat on the go with take away tea and coffees from the deli, and a good choice of easy lunches with hot and cold sandwiches and pies to suit busy lifestyles.

For those wishing to explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we have an on park Nature Trail suitable for children and also have a trail for Pocklington which starts and finishes at Burnby Hall and a Mystery Trail of 17 miles starting from our on-site car park and stops in local villages. Cheval Cafe Willerby

Spacious cafe with great food and good kids menu, with children’s toy boxes and an outdoor play area. There are also horses in the adjoining fields to watch.

They also serve a Children’s Afternoon Tea – Served all day and consists of a slice of cake, jelly sweets & biscuits, glass of orange or blackcurrant cordial, a sandwich with a choice of fillings and a bucket of fries. £7.95 per child, groups of 5 or more must be booked in advance.

Deli 1936

A small local cafe, located just to rear of East Park.  They offer anything from takeout breakfasts to lunches to eat in, and also Afternoon teas.  They do a Children’s Afternoon Tea for £5.  The venue can also be hired out for small gatherings. Open Monday to Friday 8.30am-3.30pm and Saturday 8.30am-1pm

Drewton’s Farm Shop and Restaurant

The restaurant is open daily 9am-5pm (10am-4pm Sundays). The menu has good children’s options, there are baby changing facilities available, and pushchairs can also be accommodated (worth booking in advance to secure a suitable table), and it adjoins a great farm shop with local food and gifts. Themed events are also run throughout the year, and there is a private conservatory suitable for small parties.  And they also serve a range of Afternoon Teas.

Millers Tea Room

Lovely cafe, open from 9am – 5pm.  Very good with children, and good for groups or parties.  Indoor and outdoor seating.  Serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and coffee.  There used to be an adjoining farm shop but this is now an evening bistro.  They also serve Afternoon Tea.

Millhouse Skidby

The Millhouse at Skidby has a new outdoor children’s play area and both indoor and outdoor seating. The children’s menu is excellent and comes as part of an activity pack with lots of things for children to do inside. Mumbler went recently and it was one of the best meals out we’ve had with our children, great quality food and my kids loved the play area and activities.

The Ginger Cow Company Tea Room
