Boston Park Farm is a fun day out for all the family! A traditional working farm with the farm park which allows children to get up close with a wide range of farm animals. You can pet and feed most of the animals and also join in with animal handling sessions.
We have outdoor climbing frames, swings, slides, go-karts, mud kitchens and a bale pyramid to climb. Also inside there is an indoor soft play area which is suitable for children up to 8 years old, an indoor bouncy castle, play kitchen and a large indoor sandpit. Our cafe, serving hot and cold meals is open everyday as well as our brand new outdoor Snack Baa, serving ice creams and other snacks.
From 17th July you can also do our Maize Maze, which is included in your general admission ticket.

Dalby Forest, managed by the Forestry England, offers over 8,000 acres of woodland to explore, enjoy and discover. Great play area for children, accessible walking and cycling trails for all. Cafes and bike hire centre. Dalby Activity Centre, Go Ape and Forest Segway is also here. Adderstone Field has the Enchanted Wood and the Gruffalo Trail which are also fantastic for kids. Staindale Lake is great for picnics. £9 per car in summer, £5 in winter.

Northwood Trail is nestled in a 100 acre wood at Buttercrambe close to York and this delightful woodland fairy sanctuary is the first of its kind in the world. The eco-aware sanctuary is off grid and, quite uniquely, designed to appeal to adults as much as children. As well as a beautiful woodland trail, it also includes an intriguing Fairy Museum, to display what is believed to be the world’s largest collection of fairy artefacts, collected over many years by owners Carolyn and Christian.
Northwood is about fostering a connection to nature, at its most beautiful and magical. The woodland trail winds through 1.5km of old fairy paths, peppered with fairy tree houses, stump houses, a willow walled maze and Elven thrones. There is also a natural play area for smaller children and den building for older kids.
In keeping with the sustainable ethos, a stylish woodland kitchen will be serving organic teas and coffees as well as healthy and delicious local food. Operating from Hessle Foreshore under the iconic Humber Bridge, we can take you on a unique tour of the river. Experience views of Hull, the East Riding and North Lincolnshire that can only be seen from the water. You can even take the controls under the supervision of our skipper and Royal Yachting Association (RYA) powerboat instructor. Trips can be booked from 1 to 6 hours duration, with a maximum of 4 people (age 5 and up). Prices start at £120 (per boat, not per person).

Rustic Riddle is a lovely cafe in Ulrome (near Skipsea) with indoor and outdoor seating. Also on the site for customers to explore is a nature trail, woodlands and pond, paddock and lots of animals to see. Walks surround the site and it is close to the beach.
For Summer – follow the clues around the nature trail and see what you can find! Can you spot any fairies along the way? No need to book. Open to all cafe customers as part of your visit.

Just like last season, this year it is a matter of booking your “Picking Slots”. During none school holidays, walk-in pickers are welcome Monday to Friday, but pre-booking is essential for weekends. Days will be released slowly to control the number of pickers on site at any one time and to ensure there are enough strawberries ready. As the fruit ripens, more and more slots will be released.
The Farmshop, Café and children’s play area are all open, so there is plenty of things to do and enjoy.

The Great Ryedale Maze (formerly known as The Great Yorkshire Maze) makes a welcome return to North Yorkshire this summer, following its hugely popular debut in 2020. Located at Sherburn, midway between Scarborough and Malton, it is open daily from 14th July to 5th September 2021 from 9.30am to 5.30pm.
We have a field full of fun for all the family, with nine acres of maize plants and never-ending paths to explore in the giant Yorkshire Dragon Maze, and for younger adventurers there’s the two-acre Mini-Maze with an environmental theme. East Hull Community Farm is a real working farm and open to the public. If you are lucky you may get to see lambs being born in the Springtime or Sheep sheared in June. The farm is set in almost 7 acres of land, most of which is taken up by fields for the animals. There is also a farm shop selling their own produce from the farm (pork, lamb eggs, plants). Admission is free to individuals and families, but there is a small charge for groups.

Trampoline park located on the top floor of St Stephens (entry outside next to Next). Lots of fun for children and grown ups! A floor of trampolines and bouncy activities. Hull’s largest park, there’s something for everyone – you can take a stroll around 130 acres of parkland, brave a ride on our splash boat, take a trip on the swan and rowing boats, visit our animal education centre, ride the land train (weekends only) and visit the new library at the Pavilion and enjoy afternoon tea in our cafe. Plenty of equipment for the children to play on suitable for a good range of ages. You will also find a small skate park here, which you can access from the main road, near to Woodford Leisure Centre.
June 2021 Covid Update – The Animal Education Centre is open, but with limited capacity. It is still free to enter, but visits need to be booked in advance here.

40/45 minute train ride tours of Hull. The Blue Train tours the city centre, old town, the marina and the Deep, then returns to the city centre. The Green Train tours from the cenotaph, to the Minster, then the old town and back to the city centre.
Operates Wednesday – Sunday in term time, daily in school holidays. The Blue train departs from City Hall at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. The Green train departs from the cenotaph at 11.10am, 12.10pm, 1.10pm, 2.10pm and 3.10pm.

One of the largest natural sports lakes in North Yorkshire, we offer a range of fun, relaxing and exciting activities for everyone to enjoy. You can challenge yourself, learn a new skill or make a splash! Nestled in picturesque countryside, just off the A170, near Wykeham (close to Scarborough). Take a bike ride along one of our cycle tracks or wind down with a relaxing walk whilst taking in the picturesque views. We are dog friendly too so bring yours along! Climbing: Rockcity has a range of adult and children’s climbing walls. There are 3 bouldering rooms ideal for children from 2 years +. Bouldering allows children (and grown ups) to climb without ropes in a safe area with different rooms to explore. Also a great café on site serving hot and cold drinks and areas to view the climbing with your drinks.
Skatepark: The Rockcity Skatepark is suitable for ages 8+ and can be viewed from inside Rockcity.
They also offer a range of weekly clubs known as Young Climbers Club (YCC) which follows the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS). Ages start at 7, and we have something for all levels if skill and experience for young climbers! Also run holiday clubs during the school half/full term holidays.

A Mumbler favourite, just over the Humber bridge is this nature reserve (the blue roofed buildings you can see from the bridge). Excellent paths and boardwalks around several lakes with ducks to feed and birds to spot. Paths then go through woods and up onto the river front for great views back to Hull and the bridge. Two good parks are located in the main car park. Free to walk around. Visitor centre has lots going on for children, activities and play area.
