The Household Support Fund has been extended to Friday, 26 January, 2024. It covers the cost of food, energy, essentials, and more! If you live in the East Riding (that is, you pay your council tax to East Riding of Yorkshire Council) and you haven’t applied to the fund in the last six months, and your total household income is under £33,000 (or £28,000 for an individual), help is at hand.
You can apply hassle-free today online here. It’s quick, easy to do, and you don’t need to be on benefits. The Fund offers payments of £350, which will be paid to anybody who qualifies within 20 days of making an application.
These two East Riding parents have benefited from the council’s Household Support Fund Payments. They both said that applying was quick and easy, and the money was in their bank accounts soon after applying – they are both from working households.
Karen, aged 40, from Beverley: “The Household Support Fund payment was a lifesaver when I needed it most. Managing energy bills, especially during peak seasons, was a challenge, but this support lightened the load. Even though I work, my household income is relatively low, so the fund is a big help.”
Kayleigh, 35, works part time and cares for her partner, in Goole: “As a part-time worker, mum, and a (unpaid) caregiver for my partner, the Household Support Fund has been a lifeline during tough times. I’ve received this invaluable support, helping me to manage my increasing utility bills. This support is essential for those like me who work and care for loved ones.”
