The big day may have been and gone but there are still lots of festive activities to do. The kids don’t go back to school until 6th January so here are some ideas for the rest of the school holidays…
Shows to Watch:
- Hull New Theatre – Goldilocks and the Three Bears, runs to 31st December.
- Hull Truck Theatre – The Borrowers, their show for older children (age guidance 7+) runs to 4th January 2025. Read the Mumbler review here.
- Hull Truck Theatre – Rapunzel, their show for young children (recommended age under 6) runs to 29th December.
- Bridlington Spa – Jack and the Beanstalk, runs to 5th January.
- East Riding Theatre – A Christmas Carol, runs to 28th December. Read the Mumbler review here.
- Middle Child – Treasure Island, the alternative at Social on Humber Street, this year its Treasure Island, runs to 29th December. Read the Mumbler review here.
- Junction Goole – Beauty & The Beast, runs to 29th December.
Other post-Christmas events and activities:
- Wondering what to do for New Year? Jack in the Box, soft play centre in Beverley, have a family new year party on 31st December with a countdown at 12 o’clock (midday!).
- The Deep have an event running – The Deep Freeze – to 5th January.
- Stockeld Park Christmas Adventure continues to 6th January.
- Holiday clubs and camps are running until the kids are back at school, find a list here. The big 2 are –
- Healthy Holidays Hull – free activities at lots of venues across the city for all children at Hull schools aged 5-16, with specific activities for SEN children and for teens. Activities start on 21st December. You can find all of what’s on now on their website here.
- East Riding #HAF24 Programme – free holiday camps and workshops for children attending East Riding schools in receipt of benefits related free school meals. Find details and booking on their website here.
