Far Ings is a Nature Reserve just over the Humber Bridge near Barton. They are hosting a variety of nature activities aimed at children throughout the summer 2019 holidays:
Wild Play – 8th, 22nd August 10am-12pm & 15th, 29th August 1-3pm: Drop in activities and crafts exploring the habitats and wildlife of Far Ings. Wild Play activities are aimed at 6-11yr olds and children must be accompanied by an adult. Activities are free but donations welcome.
Pond Dipping – 8th, 22nd August 1-3pm & 15th, 29th August 10am-12pm: Drop in to have a go at dipping in the pond to see what amazing creatures live under the water. All equipment supplied. Wild play activities are aimed at 6-11yr olds. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Activities are free but donations welcome.
Junior Wardens – 13th, 20th August 1-3.30pm: From habitat conservation to woodland adventures and pond exploration to bird surveys, Junior Wardens has everything for the young naturalist (for young people aged 11 to 18). £2 per person.
