Tiny Treasures at Treasure House

January 17

Treasure House, Champney Road, Beverley.

Tiny Treasures are free sessions designed for under 5s to explore the museum and art gallery collections. Each session has a different theme and includes hands-on activities, which range from messy play to handling objects, and sand play to craft activities. Plus, a Tiny Challenge is given every session – something for participants to go and find in the Art Gallery or Museum, linking with the theme.

The themes for the next sessions will be (all on Thursdays from 1.30 to 2.30pm):

17 January : Shape and Colour. This session includes messy paint-based play, a collage craft, and lots of other exploration based on shape and colour.

14 February : Archaeology. This session includes a digging activity, a ‘design your own coin’ craft, and lots of other exploration based on archaeology.

14 March : People. This session includes messy paint-based play, a portrait craft, and lots of other exploration based on people and portraiture.

There is no need to book in advance – just turn up on the day. They would advise all young participants to bring a change of clothes just in case!
