The HANSE Festival is a new event incorporating Hull’s link with the Hanseatic League (market town sea trading confederation that Hull has been part of since the 1400s). It will involve a number of activities in the Old Town and Museums Quarter recreating a medieval setting in the area. The Festival is for everyone and the Museums will have plenty of children’s activities going on, including crafts and a giant interactive map.

Experience market day in medieval Hull and meet our friends and neighbours as they go about their daily chores. Follow the trail to learn more about Hull\’s trading history. The Museums Quarter garden will be celebrating the cultural traditions from Hanse towns and cities from across Northern Europe. Watch traditional dance, listen to music from a choir and enjoy some traditional storytelling.
