Heritage Open Day at Burton Constable

September 10, 2015 @ 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Heritage Open Days is England’s biggest heritage festival taking place over four days in September. It celebrates our fantastic history, architecture and culture; offering people the chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – all of which are FREE to explore.

Burton Constable Hall are pleased to be part of this historical celebration; entry to the hall, stables and grounds will be free to everyone who visits on Thursday 10th September. The stables and grounds open at 11am and the Hall at 12pm.

We will be offering tours throughout the day, giving visitors a rare opportunity to investigate what it looks like ‘Behind the Scenes’ from the roof tops and attics to the cellars you will gain an invaluable insight into areas used by the servants of Burton Constable in bygone days.

Priced at £5 per person, places are limited and on a first come first served basis and can be booked at the ticket desk within the Gift Shop from 11am. This special tour leaves from the main entrance to the hall at 1.00pm, 1.45pm, 2.30pm and 3.45pm. For safety reasons there are only 15 places available on each tour which involves steep narrow stairs and enclosed spaces.
