Castaway Arts Fest is a 3 day creative celebration bringing together a compelling programme of contemporary original performing arts from across the region as we open the doors to our new creative space in Goole – Castaway Music Theatre.
Over 3 days Castaway Arts Fest provides an eclectic programme of original and accessible new work and performances made by artists working across different disciplines in the region and beyond. Our programme includes hilarious family theatre, multi-sensory and digital workshops, intimate storytelling, award winning acapella song theatre, stunning live music and internationally acclaimed dance. We are also offering free creative activities
4th March: opening ceremony with a wonderful mix of acts including James Whittle, Phoenix Dance Theatre\’s Senior Youth Academy and Tom Sherman. The night is topped off with the fantastic Third Angel Theatres \’600 People.\’
5th March: mix of workshops, children\’s theatre from Little Mighty\’s \’The Boggle\’ to outdoor performance with Parkbench and a show stopper from Verity Standen with \’Mmm Hmmm\’.
6th March: brings more workshops from Invisible Flock, storytelling from Matthew Bellwood with \’An Icy Man\’. Also music from The Assembled and Late Music York & Castaway and the astounding Common Ground Theatre present \’Kitty Bridges\’ to top the weekend
