Donate Your Pre-Loved Baby & Children’s Items to Bundles of Joy
Bundles of Joy are a Beverley based charity that help lots of local families in need. Through the donations they receive from the public they make up “Bundles of Joy” containing essentials that will make a difference to parents, babies and children. They then distribute them to families in need within the East Riding and Hull area who’ve been identified by health professionals, children’s centres, nurseries and other agencies, ensuring the help is identified exactly where it is needed.
The charity is now entering its second year and is going from strength to strength and helping more families than ever. I sponsored them as my Mumbler chosen charity and it was a delight to pop in last week and see their progress. I met Claire who runs the charity at their base on the Acorn Industrial Estate on Riverview Road in Beverley. I’d had a bit of a clear out so me and my 3 year old took her a moses basket and some clothes and toys that she could use in a bundle. It was also good to teach my daughter about donating her old things, she got rather clingy to the moses basket (which had been in the loft for 2 years) but I explained it would help another baby and I think she understood!
I was staggered to see how generously people have been giving, the warehouse had lots of resources to give to all types of families, from clothes and toys to cots, prams and even bikes! At the moment they are particularly short of play mats/gyms and bouncer chairs so if you have any to send to a good home please drop Claire a line.
If you would like to donate some pre-loved mother, baby or childrens items to go into a Bundle you can find more information on their website, on their facebook page or by contacting Clare Raper on email at email@example.com.
They are also running a pop up shop for the day on 24th March in Flemingate and are holding a Fashion Show on 28th March at M&Co in Beverley both to raise money for the charity. Find out all details on their facebook page hereand please go along to support them if you can.
