My good friend at Ryedale Mumbler took her children to try out the high ropes course at The Edge, here’s how they got on….
The course offers a thrilling mix of zip lines, swinging bridges, and wobbly platforms. Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie or just out for a fun day with the family, the course has two levels – Easier, most suited to children 6 years and over and Higher, most suited to 12 years and over. (There’s a height requirement of 1.20m so they can reach to get the “trolley” over – part of the harness). There are 20 different obstacles plus a zip line on both courses.
The staff are super friendly and helpful. They were on hand to stage a rescue at anytime or just offer advice and support. It was quick and easy to get kitted out then off we went. You can go at your own pace. We had a fantastic afternoon out!
What sets this ropes course apart is the added bonus of its location. After you’ve tackled the heights and navigated the obstacles, you can treat yourself with some fish and chips and a beach walk.
