There will be an opportunity for visitors to explore the historic whiting mill on Hessle foreshore in a special free open day –
Friday, 19 August (10.00am-4.00pm) and Sunday, 18 September (10.00am-3.00pm)
The building was recently refurbished as part of a Lottery funded project and is full of interesting features and information panels about the history of the site, and there is also a film about some of the characters associated with the mill.
In addition, children’s craft activities will be taking place, around or inside the mill depending on the weather: Wild Woodland Art on Friday, 19 August and a Geocaching Treasure Hunt on Sunday, 18 September.
